"When you're around a group of people, although you want to be yourself, you are consuming their ways. The way we make decisions, our likes and dislikes, depend on the collective way of seeing things. You may not see something as beautiful, but if many people think it's beautiful, then slowly you may come to accept it as beautiful also because the individual consciousness is made up of the collective consciousnesses.
The value of a dollar is made up of the collective thinking of people, not just objective economic elements. People's fears, desires, and expectations make the dollar go up and go down. We are all influenced by the collective ways of seeing and thinking.
That's why selecting the people you're around is very important. It's very important to surround yourself with people who have loving kindness, understanding, and compassion, because day and night we are influenced by the collective consciousness." ~Thich Nhat Hanh~
My life purpose is to strive to reach my highest human potential and help others do the same.
"A human being is a part of the whole called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty". Albert Einstein
My Values:
To be ambitious for wealth, and yet always expecting to be poor; to be always doubting your ability to get what you long for, is like trying to reach east by traveling west.
There is no philosophy which will help a man to succeed when he is always doubting his ability to do so, and thus attracting failure. No matter how hard you work for success, if your thought is saturated with the fear of failure, it will kill your efforts, neutralize your endeavors and make success impossible. - Attributed to Charles Baudouin
Powerful Intentions (this Law of Attraction community), is a miracle to me. I'm honored to be one of the Founders.
I first started Powerful Intentions while at a software company. I wanted to build a community around Marcy from Maui. I didn't care what kind of community. I simply knew I wanted to harness her energy! So we did it!
Originally it was funded by a company I owned. The three of us (Bob, Marcy and I) were able to get full ownership and control. This was before the DVD, The Secret came out. My partners in that business weren't into Law of Attraction and didn't want to be invovled... their kicking themselves now, LOL!
I first saw Abraham-Hicks 15 years ago am and appreciate The Secret for taking the Law of Attraction to millions more peole.
My background includes stints as a Stock Broker, Entrepreneur, Morning Jock at a rock station, Corporate Trainer, and VP of Sales for a couple of companies on the Fortune 500.
Five years ago I quit the last J-O-B I would ever have and started my own home based business.
At the same time I began publishing a newsletter on how to select a home based business.
It was the best decision I ever made. Now I'm fantastically happy. Is that a word? I'm also totally unemployable! I know that's a word because I hear it all the time!
This is my life now and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
What I've really learned is that success does not come at the expense of others It comes from helping others. There is a more spiritual approach to success!
Real success is the abundant flow of all good things to YOU.
Napoleon Hill said, "once you step into the flow you can't stop it; even if you want to". I choose to live in that flow. It has nothing to do with money.
I'm continually learning what being in the flow means for me; not only in business, but in my personal life as well. I've seen what a good idea like idea can do for someone and I love to be a part of it!
I became inspired about starting a non profit after watching Ryan's Well from the Iron Weed Film club. If that little boy can do that, just think of what we can do.
Recently, I co-founded non profit called Do Good! It will be an example of compassionate living and will focus on the positive things happening every day!
I went from Vegetarian to Vegan a year ago after deciding eating meat wasn't for me. Being Vegan is fun and makes me feel connected! I've practiced Buddhiam for many years and it led me to feel compassionate and connected towards everything in the universe including what I eat. There's a strong connection between what I eat, my spirituality and my overall well being.
Buddha said when a person becomes Vegetarian they step into the flow that leads to Nirvana. I like that. I can't say I've reached Nirvana, LOL. In fact, I can't really even say I'm a Buddhist, but it feels great knowing I'm on a path that brings me more joy every day. Someone once told me I was the funniest, Harley riding, wine drinking, hard partying, vegan, Buddhist they'd ever met. I think that description probably fits.
My father was a Christian Missionary in Mexico and now teaches Mayan Massage. Don't ask how those two relate to each other because I have no idea. He's the main reason I became a Buddhist.
I was married ten years and divorced 6 years ago. My ex-wife had two boys when I married her. When we divorced the older boy, Brian stayed stayed with me.
My Forever Green blog is always the best place to see what I'm up to.
They say the masters at the art of living make little distinction between their work and their play, their labor and their leisure, their minds and their body or their love and their religion.
They simply pursue their VISION OF EXCELLENCE at whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they're working or playing.
